Welcome to the Colson Family Genealogy page! This is a resource page for anyone who is researching the Colson and variants surname. Below you will find many things to help you with your research. You will find a message/data board where you can post your Colson queries along with data that you have such as births, Bible records, marriage records, wills, etc. I also have pages that I have set up for marriages, census records, military records, etc.
I am now teaching and don't have a lot of time for my genealogy except during my summer breaks. Please understand that I can't often answer email right away nor can I post information immediately. I also cannot do research for you. I don't have time for my own. Also, on my worldconnect Colson page, I have posted everything that I have at this time.
I welcome any additions and corrections to these pages. Please contact:

COLSON DNA STUDIES
![]()
The Corson/Colson Family History group is sponsoring a yDNA testing study. From looking at the page, most participants have the Corson surname. Corson/Colson DNA Study
Another study is through Family Tree DNA. Steve Colson is running a study with special emphasis on those who come from the British Isles. In looking at his results, I noticed that a descendant of John Colson of Bertie Dist, NC has tested. It would be wonderful to have more participants to compare. Colson Families of the British Isles
