At the bottom undernotes it says: The first four pages of the above record were written in teh excellent handwriting of Colonel Garrett Connor McGehee (11/16/1799-8/9/1878 ) of Louisa Co. Va in 1825; later additional recordings were made. He was the youngest child of John McGehee (3/25/1794 -6/4/1825) and his wife Mary Steart (7/15/1756-10/25/1846) who were married 2/2/1775 in Louisa Co. and grandson of John McGehee ( abt 1725 -1801) and his wife Ann Graves.
