Welcome to the Ozment Family Genealogy page! This is a resource page for anyone who is researching the Ozment/Osment name. Below you will find many things to help you with your research. You will find a message/data board where you can post your Ozment queries along with data that you have such as births, Bible records, marriage records, wills, etc. I also have pages that I have set up for marriages, census records, military records, etc.
I am now teaching and don't have a lot of time for my genealogy except during my summer breaks. Please understand that I can't often answer email right away nor can I post information immediately. I also cannot do research for you. I don't have time for my own. Also, on my worldconnect Ozment page, I have posted everything that I have.
I welcome any additions and corrections to these pages. Please contact:

BACKGROUND--
John Osment (~1684 - < Sept. 1749), a tailor of 1710 London and of 1713 North Miles / St. Michael's River Ferry, Talbot Co., Maryland, is the likely ancestor.
While my Ozment-surnamed female's line changed from Osment to Ozment by
1759, others may still have an Osment surname that either never changed or which reverted.
Yet others may have an unrelated Osment line, altogether.
It would be interesting to see if an OSMENT, such as the three CA film
actors, from an AL/FL(?) line, or if an Ozment, such as from Gene Autry's
TX/OK OZMENT line, were likewise related to all of us, as is supposed.
Both the TX and AR lines sometimes have the second, alternate tradition
above. Although, my other, female Ozment line seems to descend from the Maryland
line.
