Session of Cane Ridge met 21 Apr 1837 for purpose of a trial in the case of a difficulty or difference between John Shacklett and Wm. Weatherly.
Greenbury OZMENT being sworn stated that in 1834 being with Mr. Weatherly he asked him if he was to feed his own horses when he plowed Shacklett's corn his answer was to feed his horses and to attend in view of John's work Shacklett's crop of corn.

"upon cool reflexion I think it advisable to exclude two of my son-in-laws Greenby OZMENT and James Mise not from any unkind feelings I have received from them but to secure any property that may be coming to them from my estate after my death that I prohibit them from the Wright of transferring but secure it from the payment of any debt that said OZMENT or Mise has contracted or may contract hereafter . . ."
