Goodman and wife Martha E. of Davidson County; and M. H. OZMENT of Illinois against Jesse A. Gregg, administrator of Levi Holloway who died in 1862. Said complainants are the children of Martha Holloway. Their mother died in the lifetime of the said Levi Holloway. The will of the said Levi provided that his land should be divided between his sons Levi, Ezekiel, and Richard H. Holloway. John and his daughter received a small legacy. The daughter's name was Sally. The complainants base their claim on the clause in the will which said, "I give to my daughter Martha's children to be equally divided between them. 27 Mar 1884. . . . Upon the death of Elizabeth Hearn, the land descended to the heirs of Thomas Hearn, Lucretia Lafever and husband G. W. Thomas Hearn, Mary J. OZMENT and husband W. L., George Hearn, William Hearn, and John Hearn, six in number.
William Hullett, now dead, purchased the shares of Lafever and wife, OZMENT and wife, and Thomas Hearn. After this, George Hearn died without issue. William Hearn was also dead, leaving defendant, Julia Ann Hearn, who was intermarried with C. Whitson. John Hearn has also died. Agnes who married Lafayette Johnson and Thomas who is now dead.
William Hullett who was the purchaser of the shares of three of the heirs is now dead, leaving a widow and six children, to wit, John H., Charles, Mary, W. N., Rachel Hullett, and Caroline Spurlock, wife of G. W. Spurlock. [Minutes N, 1882-1885, pages 470-472]

Organized in 1902. . . The next sale of the telphone company was in 1920, when Cliff and Jeff Hill bought it, staying in business one month, then sold it again to C. A. OZMENT. . . In 1927 business was not very good and Mr. Ozment sold the compnay to Walter O. Phillips of Norene, Tennessee
